A new site I've started for Air Pumping Ltd. based on Prestashop again.. I'm quite liking it although still need to explore it more.. The more I use it though the more that will happen I'm sure!! The sites not quite done and finished yet but I am happy with how it's progressing for a days work.. theme from ILovePrestashop.com on creative commons. I don't think I uploaded it right though, or they didn't drive home the importance of installing it as a full CMS package though.. as I had to recorrect some minor theme faults (still one or two left). I presume as these corrections where outside of the theme directories then I should of uploaded everything they gave me instead of just the theme directory.. oh well, its good practice to keep my skinning skills homed. Things still to do:
Recent photography completed for Nicolasflowerpot.com.. This is actually a culmination of two shoots I've done recently.. One a quick night flyby to update the main shop image on the site, then a previous visit around valentines day to get some spring shots.. All pictures by myself.. Just been out and treated myself to a new little handy laptop! Well, a netbook actually, but its ok.. does e-mail, i-net, MSN, IRC... the usual. It's on Linpus Linux though, which is prooving interesting, learning linux is cool though, I like script based apps and learning new systems.. its just a bit daunting at first and awkward to find apps...! It's bedding in nicely though after a few days usage and 'customization' and everyone who's used it has said they liked it!! If your looking to customize your Acer Aspire One too, head here!! Acer Aspire One Netbook Forum Spec: • Platform: Intel® Atom® mobile process technology N270 (1.60 GHz, 533 MHz FSB, 512 KB L2 cache) • Screen: 8.9" WSVGA high-brightness (typical 180-nit)TFT LCD, 1024 x 600 pixel resolution • Storage: 120GB HD • Memory: 1024MB • O/S: Linpus Linux • Others: 5-in-1 card reader (SD™, MMC, MS, MS PRO, xD) 3 USB 2.0 ports Wireless Connectivity (802.11b/g) 10/100mb LAN Lighweight 1KG External display (VGA) port Headphone/speaker/line-out jack Microphone-in jack Ethernet (RJ-45) port DC-in jack for AC adapter Protective Skin Case Recent artwork completed for Air Pumping Ltd. to show the latest available hygienic hire pumps. Expensive, shiny, and very heavy, these are stainless steel beasts (hence the general stainless theme of the pic). This is actually the 2nd version of the file, the first concept / idea being totally scrapped to make way for this somewhat simple (yet I like to think very effective) catalogue-esq / poster-style advert for the pumps. I'm rather fond of it. It's simple, just how I like my art. For the last few months I've been helping a friend create himself a little business.. he will be selling designer and branding clothing and goods, and he asked me to help him with the site and hosting... Like I say, its probably taken me a few months to get this up and running but it all seems to be nearly done now, with a site 'opening' imminent I'm sure.. This is the first time I've done anything with this package as well so it was all a bit new too me.. I will probably change bits as time goes on and I realise parts of it I don't like.. but at the moment it works. I did want to change the colour scheme too but after I'd done the first initial designs to get something up they kind of came into use elsewhere straight away so... something I should of known really.. never give out actual working previews of designs as they tend to become adopted without you knowing or finishing them! A piece I did late the other night / over the next day.. Stolen from a sneaky pic I captured of Jerry resting her lovely eyelits ☺ I quite like this though.. beside from the obvious reasons I think it's quite modern and original, I don't see much work like this on flickr for example... normally its B&W images with coloured sections.. It kind of reminds me of 60s art in a way too, the retro-ness of the colours.. and also a piece called the Kiss but quite why I don't know as it looks nothing like it!! Anyway... enjoy, check out the photos link at the top for more of my recent work! Congratulation Nan! Hope everyone had a good time at the party. Thanks to Jane-head for doing the little speach, and everyone involved in putting the day on for Nan. I think she had a great time :D As promised here are the pictures I took for us all.. I've put up 3 versions, the original (the plain photo), and versions 1 (photo + an edited / titled border) and 2 (photo + an edited / titled border plus shadowed to bring it out from the page a tad).. If anyone has any requests of different versions of the photos they'd like feel free to e-mail me (WARNING: I'm not great with the e-mail!!)..
A job I've just completed for a friend who's trying to get some handyman work on the go... I thought I'd help out as much as I could and done him this flyer up! Just wacked this site up quickly as I've had a few comments that people have checked the site and there's nothing here or it's bare minimum! Expect changes over the months as I update / get new ideas.. I plan to tweak the design a little too.. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me: roama@f2s.com (works on msn too :P) Past News
